This year, we're honored to have Professor Sohail Inayatullah, a globally recognized and highly valued futurist. He is listed in the top 2 percent of the world's scientists as measured by the highest impact of citations. Professor Inayatullah has worked extensively with governments, international corporations, and non-governmental organizations around the globe. Since June 2021, he holds the UNESCO Chair in Futures Studies at IIUM's Sejahtera Centre and is a political scientist/futurist at Tamkang University, an associate at Melbourne Business School, a researcher at Metafuture.org, an instructor at Metafuture School, and a foresight project evaluator for the Brunei government.
Sohail Inayatullah is a pioneer in Causal Layer Analysis (CLA) foresight approach identifying different levels of analysis to create coherent new futures. It explores the surface understanding of an issue, the causes creating and sustaining the situation, the different perspectives shaping it and the underlying stories that might feed it.
During this session, Sohail will share his history on futures: reflect on the major milestones of his rich and diverse career and share insights from his research and practice. After his talk, we will have time to discuss and share our thoughts.
Event is organised online. Our members have received an invitation by email.
