Friday mornings, once a month, 45 minutes, 8.15–9.00AM on Teams. Your own coffee, an open conversation, and people who actually do futures work for a living. No slide decks, no sales pitches — just better questions than yesterday.
Foresight is lonely work. It doesn't have to be.
What’s Morning Coffee?
Most people doing futures work do it alone inside their organisation: building scenarios, tracking signals, trying to get leadership to look further out than three years. Morning Coffee is where you can share that work with people who recognise it immediately.
We meet once a month on a Friday morning on Teams. Sometimes there's a theme — a newly published government foresight report, a phenomenon worth pulling apart — and sometimes we simply talk about what everyone has on their desk.
Neither requires preparation. You don't need to have read anything, and you don't need to turn your camera on.
Who it's for
You do foresight for a living — strategy, scenarios, horizon scanning. You want to hear how others are solving the same problems.
You research the future — trends, weak signals, methods. You're looking for people to think with outside academia.
You're studying or just starting out — curious, critical, and without a network yet. This is the lowest doorstep there is.
If any of those landed, you're in the right place. As a member, the invite arrives automatically — along with access to our other events, collaborative projects like Tulevaisuusmylly, and the Nordic foresight network.
